Rundus Reno – Week 1 Update

December 14, 2018 | Categories: Blog

In our last blog, we revealed that we’ve begun a major renovation on our Broomfield facility . . . and we can’t wait to show you the progress! Rundus Funeral Home & Crematory has provided funeral and cremation services to area families for years, and while our professional team is top-notch, we want to be sure we have facilities to match.

We know how important it is to feel comfortable and relaxed when you’re going through a difficult time. It’s no secret that the elements of a physical space – including the color, lighting, and materials used – can set a mood. The moment you walk through our doors, we want you to be at ease, knowing we’re here to help you in any way we can.

So what are we changing to make sure you feel this way? To start, we focused on demolition. Out with the old and in with the new, as the saying goes. As you can see in our photos, it was successful – and surprisingly fast. Next, came the scraping of our outdated popcorn ceilings. This spray-on textured treatment was the standard in most homes and commercial buildings for decades, as they made easy work of finishing ceilings and hiding imperfections. Since then, though, potential health hazards like trapping dirt and dust have diminished their use and popularity.

We’re happy to report that our popcorn ceilings are no longer! We’re guessing a few of you know just how much work it is to remove this ceiling texture. Our professional demo team did such an terrific job!

Next, we focused on paint colors, experimenting with different swatches in different areas. It’s amazing how quickly the feel of a room can change depending on the wall color. We focused on colors that would bring a sense of peace, tranquility, and rest. We’re thrilled with the decisions we made and are excited for you to see what we’ve chosen, so stay tuned!

Remember that Rundus Funeral Home & Crematory is open and fully operational while all of the work is being completed. So don’t hesitate to contact us anytime with if you’re at a moment of need, or if you’d like to preplan.  We’re always here for you, and our professional, caring staff is making sure the work we’re doing isn’t interfering with anything the families we serve might need.

That’s all for now – more reno updates are coming your way next week!
