Let There Be Light! Rundus Renovation Update #3

January 7, 2019 | Categories: Blog

When we began the renovation of our Broomfield facility weeks ago, we were aware that certain improvements would change the atmosphere of Rundus Funeral Home & Crematory. We knew the kitchen remodel would be fresh, clean, eye-catching, and full of conveniences for families wanting to host an intimate reception before or after a funeral or memorial service. We knew the new flooring would add a modern touch to our building, elevate the overall appearance, and improve the acoustics of each room. We also had a feeling that the new paint colors would bring a sense of peace and tranquility with their soft hues. What we did not foresee was how dramatically our new light fixtures would change the look and feel of the room!

Those of you who have swapped out light fixtures in your own home can probably relate to how lighting plays a key role. You’ll often hear people say they feel happier and more upbeat on a bright, sunny day, and more lethargic and gloomy on days that are rainy and downcast. Research even shows that dim lighting hurts our brains and has a noticeable effect on our moods.

Knowing this, we chose delicate, modern pendant lights, chandeliers, and sconces that added sophistication and cast plenty of soft light to our space. We also had our electrical wiring updated to ensure the highest levels of safety. When families come to us for a funeral, visitation, or cremation, we want to offer not just the best services and most compassionate staff in Broomfield, but also the best facilities. A funeral is such an important moment for a family, and it’s extremely important to us that you and your guests feel at home as soon as you walk in the door, not only because of how we treat you, but also because you’re surrounded by beauty and comfort.

If we compared our renovation to a Rockies baseball game, we’d soon be rounding third! Even with all the work going on, Rundus Funeral Home & Crematory is still open and fully operational. Our staff is devoted to meeting our Broomfield neighbors’ needs, 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Never hesitate to reach out to us if you need us.

Be sure to check back in next week to see the finishing touches!
