Cremation With Confidence™: Why We Are the Team You Can Trust

October 12, 2022 | Categories: Blog, Cremation

When it comes to cremation, it’s a known fact that not all providers can be trusted to care for your loved one in a dignified way. Numerous national scandals have occurred over the years causing concern for many who choose cremation. This is why it’s so important to us to be the trustworthy Broomfield provider your family deserves.

After all, there’s only one chance to get a cremation right. With Rundus Funeral Home, you can rest assured that the professional staff member involved with your loved one’s cremation will be trained and experienced, and their process will meet our rigorous requirements for excellent service. We will also make sure your loved one is treated with dignity and respect throughout the cremation process.

As a way to give Broomfield families added peace of mind, we stand by our 10-step Cremation with Confidence™ Guarantee. This ensures that your loved one is well cared for at all times and that the cremated remains returned to you are those of your loved one.

What does our Guarantee involve? Here, we’ve outlined the 10 steps.

Your Loved One Never Leaves our Care
At Rundus Funeral Home, your loved one remains under our professional care and supervision at all times. One of our staff members will accompany your loved one to one of our crematories and will oversee the cremation. We do this to ensure that your loved one never leaves our care.

Safeguarding Personal Identity
To ensure security, a personal identification band is placed on your loved one at the moment they are transferred to our care.

Unique Tracking System
Upon arrival, your loved one is logged into our tracking system and assigned an identification number. This number is used to track every phase of the cremation process. Our tracking system includes date and time of arrival at our facility and name of the transfer personnel. Personal belongings are logged and placed in a secure area for their return to the family.

Family Identification
Our staff can arrange a private family gathering with your loved one present. Then, we will ask you, or a representative, to positively identify him or her prior to cremation.

Checks and Balances
Two individuals, a cremation technician and a licensed funeral home staff member, will review all cremation paperwork and permits. This is to ensure authorizations and permits have been received and have been properly documented. Once all documentation is verified, the licensed funeral home staff member will sign the cremation order prior to the cremation.

Cremation Log Book
Immediately prior to the cremation process, your loved one is taken to the cremation chamber and their personal identification is noted in the cremation log book. This log shows the name of the individual, date and time of the cremation, identification number and crematory operator’s name. The crematory log is dated, and the start time is noted and initialed by a cremation technician before and after the cremation.

Details During the Cremation
The crematory identification card is placed on the outside of the cremation chamber during the cremation process.

Details After the Cremation
After the cremation is complete, the cremated remains are placed into an urn. The identification card is placed into the permanent file.

Return of the Cremated Remains
Our staff will notify you to schedule a time for receipt of the cremated remains. At this time, we will provide a dignified setting in which to receive the urn, where you may spend a few moments, privately, in quiet reflection.

Celebration of Life
We will assist in planning a funeral or memorial service, either before or after the cremation, which will appropriately celebrate the life of your loved one. A meaningful ceremony provides an opportunity for family and friends to pay tribute to your loved one and to share the memories of a lifetime.
