JoAnne Lloyd passed away from cancer at age 64 on October 5, 2019 in Broomfield, Colorado.
JoAnne was born on August 8, 1955 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Clifford B and Thurza Martindale Lloyd, the youngest of 6 children. Due to health problems she spent the first 9 months of her life in hospitals. While she was in the hospital the family moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho.
JoAnne grew up in Idaho Falls and attended schools there. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1973. JoAnne attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah. JoAnne worked as a dental assistant in Fort Wayne, Indiana while staying with her sister Marilyn.
JoAnne moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, with her parents in 1983. She began to work for the U S Bankruptcy Court in 1984. JoAnne worked hard and held several positions in the court. During that time, JoAnne was also a loving caregiver for her mother, father, and sister who each had major health conditions.
JoAnne enjoyed traveling and visited several places in Mexico, Hawaii and several places closer to home.
JoAnne retired in 2007 and lived with her brother Clifford Phillip (Phil) Lloyd and his wife Sue. They both had major health problems and, even though she had her own significant health challenges, she helped care for them. She spent much time helping her family.
In 2013, after the passing of her brother Phil, JoAnne came to live with her brother Alan and sister-in-law Sylvia in Broomfield, Colorado. JoAnne enjoyed her little nieces and nephews.
JoAnne was appreciative of the care and kindness her physicians and other medical staff gave to her. JoAnne was grateful for the help Sylvia gave to her as her body weakened. JoAnne, Alan, and Sylvia are very thankful for the help that the TRU Hospice staff provided. Thank you Deedee, Nicole, Leann, Anita, and Larissa.
JoAnne is survived by her brother Alan (Sylvia), 6 nephews and 2 nieces, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Betty Lloyd, Stella Lloyd, and Marilyn Lloyd Adams, brother Clifford Phillip Lloyd and sister-in-law Carolyn Sue Johnson Lloyd.
Funeral services will be held in the Broomfield Meetinghouse, 1250 Main Street, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Broomfield, Colorado, at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 12, 2019. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Idaho Falls, Idaho, on October 15, 2019.
