Linda Ann Koepsell (Burdzinski) was born on February 26, 1960 to Walter (Wally) and Roberta (Bobbi) Burdzinski. Linda was born in Chicago, IL. Linda has two younger brothers, Kevin and Michael.
At the age of 9, Linda’s family moved to Broomfield, CO. Linda graduated from Broomfield High School and went on to college at Colorado State University, where she earned a degree in microbiology. Linda worked in the microbiology field for a number of years. She transitioned into the environmental cleanup industry and later ran her own business serving and consulting with other small businesses.
Linda married Scott Koepsell on September 27, 1997. They had two beautiful daughters, Katie (17) and Kira (16). Linda and Scott were raising the girls on the west side of Lakewood, CO.
Family and friends were everything to Linda. She was deeply devoted to her family, creating amazing meals for her family and decorating her home for each season and holiday. She created a warm, loving home environment for her family.
Linda was an avid runner and walker. She completed several half marathons in her early 50s and regularly power walked with close friends. Linda was also an avid reader and football fan.
Linda loved to be outdoors. She camped regularly with her family growing up and continued the tradition with her own family. Linda’s family, her parents and her brothers and their families camped together throughout many summers.
Linda loved to travel. She spent many vacations on the beaches in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. She also traveled twice to China and last year spent time in Paris.
Linda is survived by her husband Scott; her daughters Katie and Kira; her mother Bobbi; her brother Kevin and his family and brother Mike and his family.
Due to the pandemic, an in-person service will be planned in the future. In the meantime, an online service for Linda is planned for January 22nd, 2021 at 3 pm MST via online video service Zoom. Please email Scott at [email protected] to receive the link for the online service on January 22nd.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Linda’s family for Katie and Kira’s futures. A fund for Linda’s daughters has been established for any donations you may like to make in Linda’s honor.
